When I start up Happy Collection on my Windows 7 PC, I get the message "BLOB has been modified". I click OK and the program starts up as usual. When I attempt to add a new record using the Creation/Duplicate option, I enter details and when i click Validate Creation, I get the message "Post error while insert reference". I click OK and Cancel Creation to return to the main screen.

Despite the error message, the new record has been created correctly.

Qu'est-ce qui ce passe? Shocked

The problem briefly disappeared, then started up again, making the database unusable. I restored the COLLECT1 files from backup, and all appears to be well (for now at least). I would still like to know what the problem was and what steps, if any, I can take to avoid it in future.

"Blob" is in fact the memo part of your database, which is stored in the Collect1.mb file.
It seems that you have had corrupted indexes, which can happen for instance when you get a powerfailure or computer hang while writing in the file.
The right way to get rid of that is what you did : Use the backup copy.
In the future, i will provide a small utility that can regenerate indexes if they have been corrupted.
